Puppet Playlist

I have been a fan of Puppet Playlist for some time here in NYC. It is a great mix of music, puppets, and creative people that have a great sense of humor. What I enjoy most about it is that you will only find something like this in New York.

 

 

Silence! The Musical

Made it over to “SILENCE! The Musical” and had a great time. The show was hilarious and I do love a good sheep tap dance number. What struck me most was that as I watched the cast perform, I felt like I had seen all over them in other shows. Then it turns out that the show stared David Garrison (From “Married… with Children” and “It’s Your Move” fame) as Hannibal Lecter. Fun to see people in person that I never thought I would see in person, and then when I get home, I wiki their names and find out more about them then I imagined.

 

I also enjoyed the fact that the majority of the set was made out of Ikea furniture. I am sure that kept the costs low, and made it easy to repair.

 

Sometimes it is good to see something that just entertains the hell out of you.

 

Getting Back...

I am trying, at least it is my goal for the next month, to get back out and start seeing more theatre, and movies. Tonight I will be seeing “Silence!” over at PS122 with the wife and friends. Since getting married last year, and then taking part in three more weddings last year, changing jobs, and all the other crazy stuff New York can throw at you, I find myself a bit unfocused creatively.
